When the evidence-based treatments run out, where can you go?

The voice is more than just muscles and cartilage, it is the intersection of identity.

“Help! I’ve got a voice problem”

I co-authored this top 100 (preventative medicine) Amazon best-seller for people who feel like they do not have a voice. Since publication, this book has been translated into German, Spanish and Polish and serves a global community of people seeking broader concepts for their voice health.

My research and subsequent conference appearances around the world (comprehensive list available on the home page) have further solidified that we need a new way of seeing the voice. A paradigm shift.

Heal your voice, change your mind

Entering into therapy is an investment in your future. It’s difficult to quantify the outcomes of therapy as there are so many thousands of variables, and I make no promises or assurances that our work together will be effective in the way you want it to be.

What I do know, is that to heal your voice, you first have to change your mind. This is a deep process that examines all aspects of your being including your past, relationships, successes and failures, the future, thoughts on death and life, ideas on health and spirituality.

A new voice, a grieving process.

Psychotherapy for your voice problem is bound up in a grieving process for a former sound and self and part of our work together is to determine and then confront three aspects of your psyche:

  1. Your blueprint of grief

  2. How you receive love

  3. Accepting the possibility of change

The intersection of these components can equal a profound shift in your thinking and how you relate to your voice.

The UK’s finest multidisciplinary team at your service.

I am currently the director at London’s VOICE CARE CENTRE where I still occasionally give treatments to people seeking biopsychosocial management of their symptoms. I am proud to lead a fantastic team of manual therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, vocal rehabilitation coaches, and healers.

Something to listen to…

If you currently cannot engage in a period of therapy with me, I invite you to listen to the Thinking Voice podcast. Here Dr Jenevora Williams, Robert Sussuma and I take a deep dive into the voice and humanity.
